Radosław Kustra-Bukalski
One of the most talented organists of the younger generation, he builds his artistic reputation on a solid education and comprehensive liturgical and pedagogical activity. A graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, where he completed his studies in the class of Prof. Jarosław Wróblewski and Dr. Wojciech Bednarski with excellent distinction (highest honors), he continuously refines his craft under the guidance of outstanding European authorities. As the titular organist of the Seminary Church in Warsaw and a lecturer at the Catholic Academy, he seamlessly combines a great performance tradition with the daily practice of sacred music. His interpretations are characterized by technical proficiency and a deep understanding of musical structure, and the organ improvisations presented during this Wrocław concert will offer an excellent opportunity to admire his vivid sonic imagination.
Dr Jolanta Sosnowska
Her education spans prestigious institutions, including the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, the University of Illinois in the USA, and the Vienna Conservatory in Austria, allowing her to successfully combine historical performance with the interpretation of contemporary music. Jolanta Sosnowska performs worldwide, from the Amsterdam Concertgebouw to Beijing, and her impressive discography includes over 30 CDs, which have received nominations for accolades such as the prestigious Fryderyk Award. The artist is renowned for uncovering forgotten pages of music history (most notably through her original project “Barockvioline Unentdeckt”) and for her close collaboration with contemporary composers, who have dedicated dozens of works to her.
She is regularly invited to give lectures and masterclasses worldwide, including at The Conservatorio Nacional de Música (Mexico), The Universidad Juárez del Estado de Durango (Mexico), The Sommer Musikakademie Lilienfeld (Austria) and various music academies across Poland and Slovakia. She currently teaches violin at the Faculty of Musical Arts of the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica (Slovakia). During the August concert, she will showcase a triple artistic persona (performing as a violinist, soprano, and idiophone player) bringing an extraordinary palette of sonic nuances to the historic walls of the Church of the Holy Cross.
